Sharing new music I'm into to make your day better

TL;DR: when not writing or working in tech I create and mix music, finished a new project today you can check out here.

I like to complain pop is dead, as in my mind it is. So the only thing I can do to help people into a (better) post-pop world is continue to curate works of artists producing actually creative stuff. Note, I would never rely on “AI” or streaming platform suggestions for this, as it’s an entirely human affair (this work involves browsing digital and physical stores with a human touch).

I try to surface interesting, unique or otherwise passionate artists in the hopes of helping people realize music is quietly going through a renaissance. I still believe the day will come the megastar is a thing of the past and we recognize there’s a massive tail of creatives taking risks and experimenting with the art form in new and interesting ways, while traditional labels stagnate. It’s one of those “once you see it, you can’t go back” things. Unknown creators are just that much better (and not just in the styles I like, all of them).

Anyway I finished a new set for 2024 (overdue, I’m usually pretty consistent doing this).
