I only saw Looper once, but I still think about that movie. Such a great concept for a story.

Compounding is one of the most important concepts to grasp for a satisfying life.

The film certainly places individuality and self-responsibility at the forefront. But I see societal parallels for this as well. The focus on the future without understanding choices in the present distracts us from moral decisions that come our way. We may perceive that we are making sacrifices in the moment for some future goal, while ignoring the consequences of those choices.

thanks for the reminder. this has been on my list for a while. Have enjoyed a lot of JGL’s “smaller” movies. And I watched “Moonlighting” during COVID and got a new appreciation for Willis.
