I'm pretty stingy with my subscriptions since they can get so out of hand, but I just "upgraded to paid" for your blog, since I couldn't agree more with this brave, smart, essential thinking. Not sure what topic(s) this post is in response to, but it's a shame if you're feeling attacked by those on either side of the political spectrum. I myself find the anti- and pro-Trump cliches to be screaming bores - I avoid people who have nothing else to talk about. Thank you again!

You've described the entire communications strategy of the Trump administration here...

Sorry, but this partisan, "we're the good guys" commentary is proving Adam's point. It's not so one-sided and simplistic as this.

It's definitely political, as are most of the posts on this newsletter. If you don't want politics this is not the place to look.

However, to be partisan it would need to be one sided. In this case it's the truth, and a well studied technique of their comms strategy. Considering how often the left is bashed on here, I thought it a fair amount of balance to point that out.

I find that most people with strong partisan allegiances find it difficult to understand someone without those allegiances, who thinks independently.

Thus the assumption about a cluster of beliefs.
