This always makes me laugh. People forget that what they see on social is nothing more than a small, isolated bubble.

I too prefer YouTube for podcasts. But I can’t bring myself to really use video platforms much for my own creative work. I’m looking for readers, so I feel like I should be places where people read... like here. But maybe that’s a belief I should challenge, since TikTok obviously sells books.

I need to print this post out and give it to anyone who tells me that they don't need to do research because they know the market. Or that there is a "silent majority" or that the data must be wrong. It's such a common fallacy.
